First I put on the C&L intake everything went smooth, then I started with my Hireman Penlum cover, pony, and rear gas door. Again smooth. Finally I installed my XCT2 Tune from Doug at Bama chips. I went to start the car and the car wouldn't start the DIC showed engine failsafe mode. I scanned it with my XCT2 and P2107 Code came up. After that I returned the car to the stock program. Went to drive around to listen to the new intake, get some gas and something to eat. We finished eating and on the way home the CEL came on. I scanned with my Data Tool and it came up P0171, Bank 1 too Lean, Bank 2 too lean P0174??? After all of this I removed the C&L and replaced it with my stock intake. I haven't went and drove around yet to see if the CEL would come on again? WHAT THE heck IS GOING ON? I NEED SOME HELP........ PLEASE IF NOT I WILL BE GOING TO STRAIGHT TO THE DEALER TOMORROW!!! If your returned to stock and everything is fine with not CEL's than don't go to the dealer. Call Doug at Bama. I know he can help you.

Don't drive your car around with the C&L intake and no tune.

I think K&N has the only CAI that doesn't require a tune..Correct me if I'm wrong though

there's a few others that don't (like the AEM) but the C&L DEFINITELY needs a tune in place. That "too lean" indication was exactly what it said. Too much air, not enough fuel with the C&L and no tune.

Same issue today, called American Muscle and they don't have techs on the weekend. Good thing they are east coast so I can call them at 6:00am on Monday and hopefully get to work on time. P2107 with any of their tunes.
