Help with 2006 GT misfire problems
I have a 2006 GT that randomly started misfiring today. I drove her a bit to see if it would get any better, but it only got worse. Started shaking more, theres a slight sound that sounds similar to a knock but its only a single hit, and barely stays running. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have had plugs go bad with less than 10k miles on them. Funny they were E3 plugs both times. Also the wire to the pulse ring on the crank can be loose (read that on a different thread)..

have you unhooked or killed the battery recently? mine went dead, first time over 45 was 2 weeks later, first coast down off the highway was on a real bumpy offramp- it 'learns' crank trigger at first couple decelerations from over 45...
I unhooked battery (would barely run before) warmed up, got on highway, lifted (clutch engaged) coasted down on a smooth off ramp, good as new.
I'd put up a link to the factory coast down relearn back then, but didnt try searching...
edit- found it, good info, explains the misfire detection/relearning...

easy to check/reset

The spark plug issue is one, the relearning is another, but one that's not been mentioned is the throttle bodies can cause weird things that feel like misfiring or slipping clutch if they're dirty. Clean it, and when you do, disconnect the battery before you take it apart. Connect battery after you put it back together.
Then get in the car, turn the key to ON, but NOT Start. Depress the throttle slowly, about 3 seconds until it bottoms out (this supposedly resets the 'sweep' values for the pedal.) Release. Start car. Go drive for 10 miles, all done.
How many miles? Have the plugs been changed ever?

I have an 06 GT Vert with 90k miles and recently I had a misfire on cyl #2. Turns out to be a bad coil on plug (COP). I replaced all plugs and cops. When they say that 50% of the times a plug will break in the head when you try to remove them, they weren't kidding. I had 4 plugs break in the head. Luckily I bought the removal tool and got them out easily so if you try to replace your plugs and have the 2 piece I suggest you get the tool.
