Headlights ON switch in OFF position
Headlights ON switch in OFF position
This started after a rainy day and running through a couple of puddles. The turn signals, power locks, radio delay (after car turned off) and the key fob quit working. The car sat for approximately 2 hours and the turn signals and the power locks worked. Got home and re-progammed the key fobs so they now work.
I now have "daytime" running lights . . the headlights are on as soon as the car is started and the switch is in the off position. I also noticed that the car does not flash the lights and beep when the car is locked using the key fob or when locked manually.
I have not had any previous problems with this type of issue. Any suggestions or ideas where to start looking for the problem?
Thank!

Yep. Looks for signs of dampness/water on the passenger side floorboard.
What you're discussing sounds like typical symptoms of the junction box behind the passenger side kick panel getting wet.
These cars tend to leak on that side either because of poorly sealed seams, or somtimes leaf debris, etc gets into the fresh air intake area in front of the windshield and lets water accumulate until it spills through the heater system.

if the carpets wet, better to dry it out soon, as best you can...get it in the garage/doors open, fan to blow fresh air thru...IIRC the kick panel has a access panel that just snaps on, removing would help.
I'd pop the cabin air filter and clean out the rubber drains at the bottom- if its a first time issue, its likely debris in there that did it. hard to see down in there- I put some pics up somewhere of the bottom(took pics with the hood off - easier to see)...I'll try to find them

edit- heres pics of cabin air filter/plugged drain:
