Head specs on 4.0 V6
I have a company that will be doing custom Long Tubes for my car and we are looking into specs, ect. Anyone know of a place that would ahve the measurments and stuff for the heads on the 4.0?
I know this is V6 related but I figure others might know where this info could be found as well.
Thanks!

You can use exhaust manifold gaskets as templates for the flanges. That and the bolt diameter, length and thread type are all they should need in regards to the heads. The tougher part will be getting the pipes bent so there are no interference problems. It will be simpler with a V6 with only 3 pipes per side. Be wary of the steering shaft. I know that on the GT's you MUST replace the stock engine mounts because with most long tube headers the stock engine mounts will allow so much engine movement that one of the primary tubes will interfere with the steering shaft under certain conditions. This may be less critical on a V6. If you are going with long tubes I'd recommend replacing the stock engine mounts with something that doesn't allow so much engine movement. Fortunately the engine mounts for the GT and the V6 are the same. I got mine from Summit Racing part # PTP-6-505-BL
These more solid mounts will increase noise and vibration some but they are will worth it as you'll get more power to the ground as well as eliminate excessive engine movement.

Thanks for the info and the link. The company doing this is known worldwide and makes one of the best long tubes you can get, so i'm sure they will be careful about clearence, ect. Figured I would get as much details though as possible to help them out. I will def talk to them about the motor mounts though.
