Haynes Repair Service Manual New - Ford Mustang 2005 thru 2007

Any major difference to be watchful of if I've got an '08?

There's nothing really different AFAIK. 08s had optional HID headlamps and all 08s have the A-arm support brace that only convertibles and GT500s previously used. Mercon-V is now specified for the TR-3650 whereas Mercon was specified for all MYs up to 2008.

Excellent. I picked it up at Books-a-Million for a buck.
The gal at the register was having a tough time with the scanner and just rang it up for $1.

Is it any good? I've had some VERY hit or miss experiences with Haynes. I'd pretty much swore them off about 10 years ago and just spend the money to get the factory service manuals instead. At least they have all the info and it is generally correct. I couldn't say that about the Haynes manual on my last car or truck. Or my sister's last car. Or my mom's...

I've had the same experiences with Haynes. For basic service, its pretty handy to get the torque values, etc. However, if you've diving deeper into repairs, the factory manuals are so much better.

Does anyone have a recommended source for getting the Factory service manaul? With some mods planned for this winter, I want something more than a Haynes manual readily available.

I used to get my Factory Service Manual DVDs from eBay for about $20-$100 per DVD. They usually cover more than 1 model year, so you get your money's worth. Last but not least, Ford owners seem to have a tight-knit community online so if you have questions, just ask and at least 1 person will help you out!!

I got my factory service manual for an 07 Mustang off ebay. They are available there either in hard copy or DVD from time to time and usually at a good savings.
