Am I the only one here that does not think this is that big a deal? I had to drive my (lowered) car through water that was almost as deep (but not quite). The car motored through it (slowly I might add!) with no issues at all.
The only issue I noticed was the mud stains on the hood liner afterwards. The water was high enough that the lower part of the cooling fan was hitting the water and splashing it up to the bottom of the hood. Nothing a good washing couldn't take care of.
