That's happened to me a few times also. Now when I fill up, I hit the reset button twice and it seems work. I've also noticed, since i've been subtracting the total mileage at fillup, that the trip meter is most of the time about a tenth or two off.

Question: Does everyone this happens to live in the USA? Does this only happen on the upgraded dash?

I live in Canada and have the standard dash > never ever happened (I check at each fill and log on a spreadsheet, so I'd know if it did).

Might help troubleshoot, although if they all do it, you know Ford is going to say it's "normal" and won't do anything about it.

That's due to the fact that you can reset the trip to 0.0 while the main odometer is part way through a tenth. And you don't know how far through the tenth the trip is when you are getting gas.

In other words the trip would be 0.00 while the odometer is 9999.93 you just can't see the 3.

5 or 6 times for me in the 2.5 years I've had the car. Of those times, it's happened twice in the last month.

Mine just did it again today. I filled up 2 nights ago, drove about 4 miles home, parked. This morning I get in the car to go to work and it is reset to 0, but the avg. mpg is still right, so I don't know what is going on there.
