well now, that is pretty interesting. I wonder how long the bracket will stay connected to the bumper.

It's kind of hard to tell from the pics, but what did he use to fasten it to the cover?

Sadly it looks like it's glued to the bumper. See the yellow goo?
However, if you bend up the other end of that "arm" you can attach it to a bracket on the bumper... after you drill a hole for it.

With that brace, a minor rear impact that would problably ony scuff the paint will now problably FUBAR the bumper cover and cause it to be replaced. I guess it depends on how much give there is in the brace.
