Hard to put into 1st gear ??
So I just bought a 2008 mustang gt it was alright when I bought it but after about 2 weeks of driving it, it is getting harder to put it into first gear while stopped it, same with reverse it goes in easier if I am rolling slowly. Any idea what it is ?

are you on an incline when stopped? Don't know the technical term for it, but when I stop on my driveway, I have to put the parking brake on before releasing the brake after putting it in park, or else it's hard to put in Drive or Reverse after it rolls back just a tad.
Also, if my '06, the plastic protector that slides with the shifter in front and behind started to wear and jam up when shifting.

Read the "Clutch Master Cylinder eyelet broke" thread from a few weeks back, then look and see if that is you too.
When I replaced that piece, shifting got easier.

Man, I love this forum. Since I bought my '06 in January it's been tough to get into reverse. Looks like I found the problem. Many thanks to those that have found a "better mousetrap" to fix a part Ford should have never used.
