I agree with everything you said.

I think the Mustang is a great product. I love it and would buy one again without hesitation.

I just wish Ford would address this issue of lackluster warranty service, although after many years I'm not holding my breath on that. If my past experience with Ford service departments was so abysmal I most likely would have bought the extended warranty... I wonder if dealers, or Ford, realize that they are potentially losing cash on this fact.

Although having only owned a Ford in the last decade I can't really comment on other brand's service departments... perhaps they are just as bad.

There's a real struggle with CSI scores for all manufacturers. It's improved because they tie it to pay in the service dept. So they should be trying to improve. Unless their scores are so far down the toilet they don't care.

Look for a better service deptartment, they do exist.

I didn't fill out the survey either... there is no entry for "NONE OF THE ABOVE." My 'Stang was built on a Wednesday, and it shows! Build quality good. No trips to the dealer for service. Yes, there is an occasional rattle from the top, but it doesn't last...

This car just simply ROCKS. As you can see from my sig, I have owned many Mustangs in the past and none of my current car's predecessors have ever come close to the "bang for the buck" and fun as this one.

Do yourself a favor - buy a GT, it'll change your attitude.

In my case I hate most the noisy manual transmission. My 06 seems worse that the 05 I test drove, its also not as smooth to shift. Also do not like the rough and bumpy ride. I have the 18in wheels so that's probably the reason for the difference from the 05 as well. Minor issue was with instrument/gauges, my speedo needle was not placed properly and always sat at 4mph even when off or idle.

Even with the issues I love my Mustang and would make the purchase again.

I have about a half-dozen minor problems to be checked by the dealer in the near future, but nothing that's kept me from driving and enjoying the car. It's the most fun car I've ever driven and I'd buy another in a heartbeat (though today I'd be tempted to wait and get the Cobra).

Get a GT. Don't be gun-shy.

I spoke with my dealer regarding a Cobra. Their quota for 7 cars is going to the owner of a restaurant chain who's buying the cars for his corporate managers - he's also paying $10K over sticker for each. Good luck finding one...

So I really want a new Mustang, but of course reading the issues portions of a couple of forums makes you gunshy.

I realize quality oftentimes gets sacrificed at the expense of mass production. And that the people who have issues are more of the minority. But it seems like the second year some of these should have been worked out.

So those of you that would like to help me out, pipe on in. Are you happy wiht your purchase? Are the issues you've had been resolved in a satisfactory manner?

Would you buy one again?

No vote from me. It is a one sided poll. No room for positive answers. I love my "vert".
