haha
ERL says my car has been at the ramp (for the SECOND TIME, first time was kansas ramp) since saturday. My dealer keeps telling me that they are trying to find out why it's still there but they just can't get ahold of the ramp!!
so, i took the liberty of calling the ford dealer in Salt Lake, asking for the ramps number, which i got... and then i just called them myself!
picked up on the first ring! :nono:
he wouldn't tell me if it was there (i ALMOST got him to, he asked me if i had the last 8 of the VIN and then changed his mind and said he needed to talk to my dealer)
he did say they have a couple yellow ones down there, but said they are all covered in snow.
soooo.... i called my dealer and asked them if they needed the number, and that NOW would be a good time to call since i just talked to them. lmao. i think they underestimate my sneakyness.
oh well. i tried.

After 9 weeks C/U, I wrote the general manager of my dealership what I considered a stern but very fair email. He called me and told me that my car was now in his hands personally and that he was going to do everything in his power to get my car built as soon as possible, starting with contacting the regional Ford rep. Is he telling the truth? Who knows. I guess it can't hurt though.
One call to the regional rep is all it takes. The regional rep can prioritize your car up to around a 2, and it will get pulled and scheduled ASAP. They can do this under certain circumstances. Good luck! The more power behind the ball the faster it gets rolling.
The problem is that when everyone goes to the rep, the rep most likely not help as much. If you go to the well too mnay times, it will come up dry.
I know it is crap and it pretty much stinks KCTim, but there are a LOT of older orders out there. I'm not flaming you and you have every right to take action. I'm just commenting. Good luck and keep us posted.

I've shared a lot of information with my salesman over the past few weeks, and he appreciates it. He thinks it makes him a more effective salesperson.
I try not to be too cocky about it. I've learned a lot about Mustangs and the process of acquiring one because I spend so much time here! I only focused on one model, but as a salesman, he's got to know about several models! He still appreciates whatever information I can share because he can pass it along to other customers.
I like hearing about people that take matters into their own hands. It's not like they're giving these cars away. We're paying good money for them!

hrmmmm, things I did why waiting for my order. (while it sat in Michigan already built for nearly 2 months)
1. Found an online tracking website for the largest carrier of cars in North America (Thanks Beachboy), signed me and my salesman up as customers only to find out they don't ship out west.
2. Found the correct rail carrier and an online tracking form, but was foiled at the customer ID part. Tried to call and use some "social engineering" to gain info and ALMOST got it, as the the guy was looking up the VIN for me he asked that blasted question about customer a I.D. and I tried some B.S. to work around it but he didn't bite.
3. Actually talked to an "Analyst" at the ERL's Castle, and got them to start a trace on the vehicle after it's ETA slipped by 2 week's. (I turned into my salesman for that one)
4. Ended with my dealership taking pity on me and having the Region Rep call me personally at work to explain what had happened. (first in last out, holiday shutdown..)
You see, and you all thought I was patient
