Any reccomdations for replacing the prop rod?

I hate having to use that stick.

I used a piece of the rigid wire that was holding the hood and trunk closed in the box. Works pretty well! Another idea is to use the wire that's inside a garbage bag twist tie.

That's what I did - I didn't even untie the wire from inside the hood - when it is down, I just tuck it under the car - open the hoodand feed the wire through and it is rigid enough to hold it open.
