You don't think the bullitts look right on this car? You are entitled to your opinion... but I definitely have to argue with you. The bullitts look great on this car, IMO. I get so many compliments on my wheels. Especially after I added the running pony logo cebter caps. I think they really complete the retro look. Here is a pic of my car with the bullitt wheels and center caps...

I have the exact same setup, color and everything as the picture above coming next month (hopefully) and believe me, it looks GREAT in person. Acadian... I envy you . Have you had tons of "looks" with your new toy? Oh, and what kind of packages did you get on the car? Just curious since i have the same color, wheels, etc. coming soon. Thanks.

The machined rims just don't do it for me. Perhaps its because the Bullitts just look so good already, that the optional rims are not standing out. Also, the car is retro for the most part, the Bullitts fit the look better. The Machined rims look too "easy" to build also, its too "simple".

Thanks... and yes, I get tons of stares, compliments, thumbs up, double-takes and triple-takes, etc. I actually almost caused an accident the other day. A guy driving next to me (I was in the turning lane) drove by and was so busy turning around in his seat to stare at the car, he ran right through a red light. No car was coming... but if one had been, it wouldn't have been pretty. As far as options... I just got the deluxe and added the automatic transmission (because my wife will be driving 25% of the time when she starts school and refuses to learn how to drive a stick... plus I do 99% city driving) as well as the active anti-theft system and the Shaker 500. I also opted out of the IUP... partly to save money and just because I didn't want all the shiny aluminum and don't see the point in the multi-color display. I got charcoal cloth interior. The interior looks great. I am 100% happy that I didn't get the IUP... it's so much darker inside. That's just me though. You might want the IUP. I just like the simple, clean look. That's basically it. Good choice on color, by the way. I don't think anyone who has actually talked to me about the car hasn't said they loved the color. And back on topic... the gray bullitt wheels look perfect on mineral gray.

We should open a poll to see how many polls have been done on this.

No big deal...this time when I vote I've actually seen them in person...before it was just speculation.

Thanks for the response Acadian. That's a great looking car, but my opinion's a bit biased too. haha I got the whole nine yards on the car. Thinking back now, I almost wish I wouldn't have gotten the Shaker 1000, but oh well, just another thing to play with I suppose. I did want the satin aluminum dash and steering wheel though. I thought it looked stellar on the sonic blue version I saw so I got the IUP. I haven't actually seen that package on the mineral grey yet. Honestly, I was sold on the windveil blue until I asked the salesman to show me an '04 with the same color as yours. That hooked me on the grey big time. Is there anyway you could show a blown up version of the picture that is set up as your avatar? I'd like to see a high-res version of the front to the back. Thanks again! I'm seriously pumped about this car. My first truly new car, and what a great one it will be.

I tend to agree that the new style bullitts just don't look right since they aren't the deep-dish style. The bullitt spokes being this close to the front of the wheel is what killed them for me. The machined wheel looks better on my Silver. I also agree that aftermarket is better than either wheel......

It depends on your view. I think that people who view the '05 as a 'new' mustang prefer the upgrades, while people who like the '05 as a 'retro' tend to prefer the standards. Me, I've always wanted an old muscle car, I went with the bullitts!

These bullitts aren't "deep dish", but they definitely aren't too far out either. The machined upgrade wheels are flush to the tire. At least the bullitts have a chrome lip where they are recessed in about 3/4", and then the actual spokes are recessed in about 1/4" from the lip. That inch may not be as much as you want, but it's something. It looks great to me, especially with the width of the stock tires. Here is a pic showing the lip a little better...

I had bullits on my '02, and got tired of them. I needed something fresh, which is why I prefer and went with the optional wheels. I think they look great on the car. I still plan on upgrading to the 18" fanblades when they are available.

The fanblades are a whole different story... if those had been available, I would have gotten them without a doubt. Would have probably got a different color car though. Black or redfire... both of which look better with the machined wheels than the bullitts IMO.

If only the fanblades were available!!! I went with the machined rims myself for something different and I think they look better with the Windveil Blue I have on order.
