I have no reason to mistrust this person as I did not say a word about the head problem. I left out the name and Title as of this time of posting until (and if) I receive permission, then I will post it. But I just had to post something now.

Received this today,

Bruce, I gave your vin # to one of the head guys at the 05 Celebration he said they are having a problem with the heads on the GT and may not be shipped till 1st week of October. They had alot of GT's coming off the line, but wouldn't let us take any pics. They had about 4 lots filled with 05's, again security everywhere, no pics. So they are suppose to e-mail me info in the next couple days on your car. Hopefully we will hear something soon. I tried my best so lets see if they respond. I'll let you know as soon as I find out. The guy is ************

You must trust this persons word, but what about his source of information. You certain this person hasn't simply fallen for the rumors?

I for one did not believe BON. Could we trust the information coming from one of the Top Twenty Five persons at the plant? I see no reason for mistrust. I'm third person in this pass along. Although, would it not be better just to say there is a head problem and we are fixing it in house? I hope I get an OK to say who said its so. I just do not want to burn any bridges or step on toes. Most people outside of these forums do not realize how important any information is to us and how fast we will spread what is said.

Not to say you shouldn't trust the person but when someone says something like "There is a problem with the heads" you have to think to yourself, did they just start building this motor? I doubt it. They have been testing the new stang long before production and I am sure they would not have produced so many GT's if they knew there was an issue with the motor.

The Heads are Vendor supplied, therefore this is a vendor's quality problem. I wish I could remember who it is. So they swap the heads or the defect part(s). Remember Suppliers are been squeezed by Auto makers, sometimes it could be too much, who knows.

On another thread it was said that it is a supply problem with a head part not defective just not enough to meet demand. A valve lash adjuster I think.

Hey boomer, just got back from my dealer. As my salesman Allen and I were speculating on delivery dates based on my build date, one of the other salesman piped in that I wouldn't be seeing my car until mid-november.
He said that they just received an email this morning regarding deliv. dates. Have any of you heard anything on holds on Canadian deliveries?
I can't imagine my car sitting in a lot in Northern Michigan during what is supposed to be the worst November in decades!
