I like stories too, and this is a nice one. Great thread. It's nice to see our sixers getting props from GT owners.
Tony (sixtysix) drove 2 1/2 hours (its really a 4 hour trip, but he has a GT) to hang out with me and my lil ol V6.

I have yet to meet (or chat online) with an 05 GTer who dissed me for getting the V6. Pre-05 owners however.....
(for the record, I love the GT, it just wasn't the right choice for my driving needs)

well the '05 is my first mustang so i never really noticed those types of comments. however since ive had my car i notice that its always those who dont own an '05, or any mustang for that matter, that seem to have the "anti-6" comments.

Janet, sweet stripes!! I'm in the Phoenix area also. Did you have them done at a shop here or over near you?

I'm going to be buying a new one soon. HOPEFULLY REAL SOON. I have my eyes on a V6 Deluxe but my brother (Who has a Fully loaded 05 GT) keeps saying why bother you need to get the GT.
I can afford a GT I just don't want to be car poor. I like to have a few extra dollars to take my girl on a date or save it to buy a house soon. The V6 Musatng looks just as good to me and It's hard to find a GT without a spoiler . At this point I just want one doesn't matter which options or color.
I used to be a Old Mustangs only kind of guy but the new one has opened my eyes every time one passes by V6 or GT I say WOW That's a nice looking ride.
Nice looking cars buy the way Guys and Gals

I don't think anythings wrong with the v6. I made my vote with the my $. As does anyone else who purhases one. I was also in the v6/vert or GT/coupe range, but decided a classic American car needed the classic american powerplant. That however doesn't lead me to think anything less of the sixes. I'm kind of that way towards motorcycles too. I work on and prefer Harley's, but as long as your in the wind and enjoy your bike that's what matters.

I was driving down a 2-lane road near home a while back when I spotted a v6 coupe going the other way, same color as mine. I gave him the thumbs up and he did the same. I love it when that happens.

Just wait for the 06 pony package to come out. I love the look of the front grill, because it reminds me of the Tropical Turquoise 65 that I owned for my first car. I ordered a Windveil Blue 06 GT, but when I saw the pic of the V6 with the Pony package on the WVB It took me back to 17. I'm 27 now and when my 06 gets here it will be my 3rd stang. but my favorite car was still my 65. (even though it spent more time being worked on the driving.) When I was looking for my 65, I almost bought a 67 red vert with a inline 6, Looking back now I wish I had bought the vert, but I just loved the Tropical Turquoise color of my coupe. I still have a picture of her by my couputer. 6's are cool and so are 8's. Even turbo'd 4's in SVO's are cool.

The older v6s always looked sorta... goofy to me. I thought the wheels were too small for the body... but the -6 only styling cues that Ford put on and the nice little powerplant make the -6 a damned nice looking and performing machine. Heck, the HP numbers are about where my 96 GT was...

what a great thread!!! I have met in person and hung out with 5 very cool and nice GT owners, all that I met through here.
Dave(Burke011)and his brother Ed, Steve, Mitch and shoot cant remember the other gentlemans name.
Plus the countless other GT owners(Tony, Dan, and all the HP White owners)who have been so kind and offered praise and great advice.
Big thumbs up!!
