GT/CS Almost Here!

I have been trying for the last week to get updated status from the dealer or ERL. Well, the ERL finally updated this morning and "as of 04 Aug 2006 your vehicle has been released with an ETA week of 16 Aug 2006"

I don't know for sure but I think this means I can expect it at the dealer next Wed 16 Aug.

I am thrilled since originally the dealer said I was their third GT/CS in line and would probably have to wait until Oct 2006 for production.

2007 GT/CS Vista Blue Conv
Black/Dove
Auto tranny
Cloth top
IUP (Charcoal)
Wheel Locking kit
Side Air bag
Sirius
Comfort Group
GT App Package
Active Anti-theft

Ordered mine Aug 2, DORA on Aug. 4, and as of today "Clean and Unscheduled". I will let you know how long it takes me. I'm in NJ with a pretty good-sized dealer.

I feel very fortunate to get it so quickly. My thought is because it is X-plan, the ninth vehicle I've purchased from this dealership, and the sales manager called the regional guy when it did not get "logged" by the system right away, you can speculate about how it happened but, I think I got some help.

Ordered mine July 7th, as of this morning (8/11/06) mine is sitting in the local rail yard waiting for a truck to delever. Ordered mine from a small dealer, straight plan, no X, or anything like that. Dealer said 6 to 8 weeks.

Good grief that is FAST! Mine had a high priority and still took just under 8 weeks, but the 2 week factory shutdown was right in the middle of that. When my car arrived, it hit the railyard in the morning and was at the dealership by the evening. But in my case the dealer is pretty close to the railyard.

I'm curious if you have an auto tranny? The manuals seem to take a couple of weeks longer than the auto.

EDIT- oops, just saw it's an auto in your sig. It seems that the autos are still getting priority allocation.

As of 7:38 A. M. local time it is still on the rail car, but, 4.52 miles south of the transportation center. Hopefully, it won't sit there for very long. Will post pictures ASAP after delivery.

I just found out my car is "on the ground" waiting to be placed on the truck to the dealer. Man it's great to be able to get all the info, but, tough to wait on other people to get it done when you know it's only a few miles to the dealer. I have been told I "could go to the transport company" and pick up the car but I would be responsible if any damage occured during transport from the factory. So I wait impatiently for the transport company to deliver.
