You guys with GT automatic transmissions might want to check your bell housing area for trans fluid leaks. Mine leaked a few drops awhile back but is now leaking quite a bit. Interesting there is a SB 06-10-5 which covers leaking front pump bolts on 2006's and some 05's built after 8/1/05. Whats interesting is mine was built in early July of 05. Maybe they haven't figured out how many are bad yet!! I'm going to ask my dealer about this week.

 

Found out that only '06s have the problem. However did find out that some of the '05s have been overfilled. Ford engineering designed the transmission with the vent dumping in the bellhousing area-bad engineering. This leakage got worse after high speed driving on the Mass Pike and has diminished somewhat with slower driving. Dealer wants me to see what happens over next few weeks. Another interesting note is that trying to remove the bellhousing/torque converter inspection cover, both bolts that hold the cover are stripped out. Found out that some of these bolts were overtorqued at assembly.
