Griot's or Porter Cable polisher?
Griot's or Porter Cable polisher?
I clay barred used the mothers 3 step wax system on the ride yesterday and it was alot of freaking work! I have a shoulder that gives me trouble and it is killing me today. It cleaned up nice! The body on the car is in great shape no dings or bad scratches. There are some swirls and some spots, maybe acid rain that didn't come out. I thought about getting it detailed but after watching videos on autogeek I'm getting a dual action orbital polisher. I can get one for the cost of the detail!
I've decided on the Griot's Garage or the porter cable, any one used these polishers?

FYI. I have had my porter cable 6" orbital for at least 10 years. It still works great even after being dropped on the ground a few times.
Try to get some good pads from one of the suppliers. Lake County worked well and there are others out there.
Good luck

Yeah I was at a seminar at their mother store Saturday The had a detail seminar and they showed all the products and made it seem so simple.
They are both great. One of our resident professional detailers here prefers the griots. Either way is a great choice. The porter cable comes with a somewhat small backing plate. A little bigger backing plate would do a little better job but it still works fine. I need to upgrade backing plates on my PC.
****, wish I had known you were going to be there. It's only about 20 minutes away from me and that would have been an opportunity to meet another Mustang owner.
I have the PC it's a great piece, it just takes a long time to get your desired results - I have since upgraded to the Flex - I haven't used it yet, but it should cut the time by at least half. For a real quality product, take a look at Adams Polishes....great products and 100% made in the USA.
