Grabber Blue Prototype? Amber Gold???

Hmmm, what you could be seeing here is the preparation for the release of the new Boss 302. In 1969-1970 there were three distinct "Grabber" colors, Green, Orange, and Blue. There was also two colors of Gold offered those years. The only Grabber color that seems to be missing currently is Grabber Green, which is okay with me. I believe the most popular color choice for the Boss cars was Grabber Blue
"The exterior colors for 1970 Mustangs inlcuded the following: Silver Metallic Blue, Raven Black, Light Ivy Yellow, Dark Metallic Ivy Green, Calypso Coral, Yellow, Grabber Green, Medium Metallic Lime, Grabber Orange, Grabber Blue, Red, Bright Gold Metallic, Medium Metallic Gold, Wimbledon White, Medium Metallic Blue, and Pastel Blue."

Understand that Grabber Orange was previously named Valencia, but on 28 Feb 2006, our 05fordGT (Jeff is a Ford Saleman in PA), informed us that the dealership's CONCEPTS vehicle ordering system listed the new 2007 color as "Grabber Orange" and it's Paint Code was U3.

I still have the Oasis Report as it shows my car was built on June 6th, aka '06/06/06'. But also on that report in addition to the options, is the color, of course. It sez in plain English: Valencia! But yes, the ordering system clearly stated "Grabber Orange" throughout when I ordered.
If I can make an observation here, I'm thinking these colors will be in the 2009 line-up. They'll disco the GO after two years and bring out the GB. Oh, and will you GB fanatics please stop trying to borrow our acronym?
BOGO = Brothers Of Grabber Orange
BOGB = something out of a Saturday morning Bill Cosby cartoon...

The Gold and Grabber Blue have never been mentioned in threads discussing the new 2008 colors. 05stangKC stated back in Aug 06 that the parts systems was showing Silver Metallic, Vapor Silver (confirmed as a GT 500 color for 08) and Sangria Red.
Despite all my excited posts in this thread and based on the above info on 08 colors, I'm not convinced that we will see Gold and Grabber Blue in 2008. I'm tired of waiting to get a new stang, so if Grabber Blue isn't coming out in 08, then it just wasn't meant to be.
On the other hand, Ford monitors these sites, and maybe they are playing games with us on the colors. Or maybe the early release on info on the proposed 08 colors and the accompanying cool reception of more monochromatic colors (grays and silvers), caused them to change plans.

Love that blue!
Ford had one on display at SEMA 06. I took a photo of it:

that was the Galpin Auto Sports rendition of the Boss 302, it was on the cover of 5.0 this month. i wanna say that's custom paint, not a product of Ford. I would actually prefer that color to the one shown in the "spy shots"...
