Grabber Blue Prototype? Amber Gold???

I agree, I know everyone here is excited about Grabber Blue, but I really love Vista Blue. If GB replaces VB in '08, I might have to order an '07 instead...when will they make the final announcement?

The Gold and Grabber Blue have never been mentioned in threads discussing the new 2008 colors. 05stangKC stated back in Aug 06 that the parts systems was showing Silver Metallic, Vapor Silver (confirmed as a GT 500 color for 08) and Sangria Red.
Despite all my excited posts in this thread and based on the above info on 08 colors, I'm not convinced that we will see Gold and Grabber Blue in 2008. I'm tired of waiting to get a new stang, so if Grabber Blue isn't coming out in 08, then it just wasn't meant to be.
On the other hand, Ford monitors these sites, and maybe they are playing games with us on the colors. Or maybe the early release on info on the proposed 08 colors and the accompanying cool reception of more monochromatic colors (grays and silvers), caused them to change plans.

If my memory serves me correctly, last May when a co-worker of mine ordered his '07, Grabber Orange was not yet published in any guide. Some of the dealers and sales people didn't know that the color was available... but some of the sales people are pretty clueless.
Regardless, I would not be surprised if one or both of the colors are offered, but not made public until June/July or the same time line as Grabber Orange was.
If they are not going to be offered on the S197 this year, why have the paint on those body styles this early in the year since it looks like '09 for the redesign?

I'm pretty sure, Grabber Orange and alloy gray were in the order guides that came out in March 06. Also we had a heads up on these 2 colors from November 05, when 05stangKC found them in the parts system. So far there has been no mention of Grabber Blue or Gold in the parts system from 05stangKC.

If the Amber Gold and Grabber Blue are not available in '08 and the redesign does not come until '10... I would not be surprised to see the Amber Gold and Grabber Blue in '09 for the resurgence of the BOSS.

add one to the 'not feeling it on the grabber blue' crowd... just seems a little too pale. i much prefer azure blue to this attempt at grabber blue...

I don't think that this is an "attempt at grabber blue". That is Grabber Blue.
I think you meant to say that compared to Azure Blue, Grabber Blue seem too pale for your taste.

Other than the rims, that blue car above makes me all tingly inside!
They need to throw black deep dish wheels with a polished lip on that ASAP. Maybe the GT500 knock offs in black with deep machined lip?
