GOT A VIN
#22
More information from some research I've been doing for the last few minutes.
Here is a VIN from one of the show cars:
That's 1FAFP42X95S100194, which looks like a typical Mustang VIN.
Region (1): North America
Country (1F): U.S.A.
Manufacturer (FA): Ford
Model Specific (FP42X): Unknown
Check Digit (9): Invalid
Year (5): 2005
Assembly Plant (S): S
Serial Number (100194): 100194
Now for the VIN that Bhead32 has:
Region (1): North America
Country (1Z): U.S.A.
Manufacturer (ZV): Ford
Model Specific (FT82H): Unknown
Check Digit (1): Valid
Year (5): 2005
Assembly Plant (5): 5
Serial Number (102031): 102031
So it looks like you really do owe him $10, Kevin

That doesn't seem right -- a Ford VIN should start with 1F.

bullittman you were most likely correct the first time. Your vin does start with 1Z not 1F

Check back for the topic (we are getting closer) the first page. Then click the Ford fleet link, now click the maintance tab, and then the vin decoder. This might be varification, I dont know, but it is a Ford page.
I will add a post to it to get it up front with this one.

On a brief side note... a few dealers have told me that they were having trouble entering any more GT orders due to lack of V6 request, something about exceeding that 55% mix... -Kevin is this ?

My dealer looked up my car on his computer while I was looking on. I saw the other 4 vehicles and asked him why a 2005 V6 said temp delay next to it. He said thats because they arent going to get any V6s at first, they are puttin the V6s on hold. I dont know wether this is because there is lack of demand or wether they just want to sell GTs first because they only get a certain number of cars at first and want to make as much money possible(GT more expensive than V6).
