Well, I finally got the call today that my new 08 was in!
Just a few pics to start off. I'll add a few more later....
I was hoping to get the car Friday, but Ford just started a new $500 factory incentive today, so I spent less then I thought I would have to!
I must say that this car is FUN! I would have liked to spent more time driving it today, but the roads got kind of full, and I got wore out with all the stuff invloved in getting it! But, it was worth it in the end......
Here's a link to an online album....

Yeah, I like the new Candy Apple. It's a little darker maybe then I thought it would be. But, I still like it!
It looks quite a bit different on a cloudy day, then a sunny one.
I've been having fun driving and working on it too. Today was the engine cover, and the Granatelli CAI. Tommorrow is the Flowmasters!

Holy crap GIRL I thought mine was taking forever. What did you order that its taking so freaking long?
It might be because of the priority of the order. There is a number they put to expedite the order. I think its a 10 that is the max for getting the car quickest. Mine was put in as a 10 and I want to say that it seems to have taken longer than most.
I guess yours fell in a hole.

Well, the receipt date really is not May. The short of it is that we had been tossing the idea of getting one since the 05's came out. Had my Expedition at the dealer for some warranty work a few months ago.....talking to our salesman about what was going to be new on the 08's. When he said Candy Apple was a new color this year, well........that got my attention. Anyway, mid July he called my husband to say he ordered his first Candy Apple to our specifications. We talked about it a little more and decided the kids were all getting older now and we don't really need anything that big anymore, so we just decided to go ahead and do it. We did make some changes to the original order later in July, so that probably pushed it back some.

Thanks! I'm already love driving it!
Sometimes, not so much fun working on it!
I just spent all morning long screwing around trying to get my Flowmasters to go on. I got the old ones out and the new one in place, but the clamp holding the muffler onto the exhaust wouldn't tighten up enough. It was pretty loose, so I called up Flowmaster and told them about it and they're going to send me some saddle clamps instead of the ring clamps like I had.
So, out comes the stupid Flowmaster and in goes the stock muffler again untill I get the new clamps. I'll also be going by Home Depot this afternoon to get a stupid hacksaw to take off the old clamp since the nut on it got striped when I was trying to tighten it down......
Errr! What a waste of time! All morning long with that! Flowmaster! Errr!

Wow, your car must sound really good.
The stock Shaker 500 system is good enough for me right now since I actually turn the stereo down in my GT so that I can hear the engine!
Sure is fun to drive around!

Hell yeah! I've been keeping the stereo off 90% of the time too. Like I said... I wish I went with the CAI/tune first.

I was thinking about going after market on the Audio since the Shaker 500 in my V6 was starting to skip and that. They have some new stereos out that don't even have any CD's, they have a SD memory card slot instead. But, I'll give this new one a chance first.

Fords4ever, I'm not sure what you mean about the cup holder? Do you mean the Steeda billet insert?

How do you know all that build info/dates? I just keep bugging my salesman. It should be here tomorrow, shipped today and they are built less then 10 miles from me.
