But I would definately talk to Ford about the late deployment of the airbags... that could have been dangerous if you had been halfway out of the car when it happened.

wow, its been a month since you posted this and Im now reading it. I believe the other driver will be at complete fault based on the observations of the adjuster.
Note: If you were to get screwed on this however, give me a call and I'll see what I can do. I've been in a similar situation and long story short, I got screwed over.

Hey Surfin SoCal, I saw your car at Tuttle Click Ford a couple of weeks ago. I was waiting for my car to come out from back (got the strut mounts fixed per the TSB) and I saw your car driving around the parking lot.

WOO HOO! car is back....looks good as new! they replaced practically the whole left side of the car exterior and interior. As well as painted the hood, roof, and rear end (and left side).
