I used to take the same approach when building computers for friends, family, and associates. If you keep waiting and waiting, you'll never get anything. It's impossible to future-proof against design or technological advancements.

The Mustang just keep getting better and better anyways. If the 08 or 09 is somewhat based on the 05 and 07's then one can always go to the aftermarket for upgrades or changes. Case in point, check out some of those sweet looking Shelby clones shown this forum. If you want, go for it. One thing I can guarantee you for sure is that when you smack that gas pedal, it will put a smile on your face. What the heck, go on and get that thing man!

Get a 2006 musang by 2 Jan 07 (winter sales event/lots of rebates/discounts) or hold off for a good deal on a 2007 mustang during the summer sales event. By then you will know what's coming out for 2008.

As an aside, thanks for that information. I am going to check my '07 for leaks. It's a daily driver that is outside quite a bit.

Yep....and you'll know what you're getting now, instead of waiting for the speculative unknowns. The redesign might be cool.........or it might not.

It's no different with the Mustang than any other car or item we purchase. If you wait, then you loose the enjoyment of the car today and can look forward to paying a higher price for the new model. There are some good deals on the 07's right now sitting on the lots. If you need a car right now, I say go for it. The flip side is the new stang might look even better and the 05-07s might look a little dated, but that is the risk you have to take. I'm in the same postion on deciding whether or not to purchase or wait until I have some more $ saved. I'd like the at least have the HID lights and the GT500 facia that is supposed to be on the redesign.
