I called my insurance agent today and they tell me going from a 03 Focus 4 door to a GT Vert will cost me $130 more a year. I am very pleased. After reading numerous "I don't want a GT b/c of insurance" posts I was really worried.

If all goes well, I'll have a new car this week (jinx) :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin: :spin:

my buddy was paying rediculous money on an eclipse turbo and thought if he got a Sentra instead he would save money. he didn't check it out and he ended up only saving $5 a year, he was pissed

My 06 GT was a little more than the wife's 04 GT Tiburon....

If performance and looks counted, it would be 5 times that.

in my case. I was driving a 2003 Mustang GT before I got the 05, and when the new car came in my insurance dropped by about $50 every six months. I pay about $1300 a year for full coverage on the 05 Mustang GT.

I got my renewal today and my rate actually dropped over $1000 this year, from $3000 for my '02 GT and the wife's '04 Lexus RX330 to just $1900 for both cars for the year. Neddless to say, I'm really happy!

When I asked for a qoute on a new GT vert they told me it would only be an additional $80 per year!

Mine was $2500 per year. I changed the deductibles from $100 to $1000 and it dropped to $1400.

It shocked me to when I called my insurance agent to get a quote for my 05 GT. My rate actually went down from $1200 every six month's for a 91 V6 Firebird with full coverage to $1000 every 6 monthe to a V8 GT :worship: with full coverage. Of course I do have a good driving record and am 26 yrs old. But that's even in NJ!! :bang:

Wow...this makes me sad. I have a 99 Ranger and this 05 GT. I have liability on the ranger, and 1000 deductibles. I pay $1240 every 6 months. It was the cheapest I could find (Progressive). Allstate, who I was already with, wanted $8k to be added to my mother's insurance policy with the stang. To open my own...$16k. This was told to us by the agent themself. I have 2 speeding tickets that come off in October.

A new GT would have been $2,300 every 6 months (mostly because of my teen-age driver). Even my old 1988 GT would have been $2,000 with a teenager (which is why I sold it). My V6 is just $457 every 6 months. I think my rates are this high because of all those wild drivers out in Ballard, WA.

My 2006 GT is competitive with my other cars. I pay $920/year
for it, $1,100 for our 2004 Honda Pilot and $770 for a 2002
Suburban in Long Island, NY. Married and over 30 helps!

My wife and I have our house, 1998 F150, 2000 Mazda MPV all on the same plan. Adding the Mustang GT adds about $600.00 a year. And I have speeding ticket less that 3 years old. Not too bad for a price is it?

My insurance with a 2006 GT (full coverage/collision) and my 1993 Explorer (no full coverage/collision) is about $600 per six months.

no accidents or tickets on my record, I'm 39 years old.

Ouch. I'd sell the car before paying 5 grand for insurance. That's more per month than the payment on mine! Of course, you'd still have ticket(s) on your record so anything will be expensive now. So never mind, keep the car
