I'd get it if it was 2-2.5K grand option...which is a bit more then a sunroof, but cheaper then a vert...then again unlike a sunroof, it doesnt let in any air

so this is confirmed for job 2 MY08? I can't imagine it being very expensive with the complete panoramic roof on the Edge which is much larger with one powered section and dual power shades at $1300. If its the same price its a cash-cow option.

I just order a GT/CS yesterday (November 13th) and it will be built Job 2..and there were NO new options for mustang except 18" chrome wheels and Bullitt pkg. The roof is not a job 2 option yet......

Glassback
We just purchased my wifes dream car(Mustang in General), 07 GT Loaded, including the Glassback dealer installed roof, she wanted desperately to have a sunroof or the beloved t-tops of the 80's that made a statement to such muscle cars as the Firebird, Grand National, T-Type and the beloved Mustang. This was a rare option on most and very sought after if applicable. We love our glasstop and would have waited if we knew that it was soon to be a factory option.

Is there any actual confirmation of this? At all? 2008/09?
I'd like the skinny if anyone has it. I plan on putting in my order on a GT in Feb/March... and if it will be available at that time, I'll order without hesitation. However, if not available until next model year, I may as well just wait.

It looks like a cool option!
At least it would get rid of that hideous bump on the roof when you try attempt to wash it.
If your confused on what I mean, the next time your washing your 'Stang, put some pressure on the middle of the roof. The metal literally pushes in and back out. Not very smart by Ford.
Anyway, that glass roof is pretty nice, but I don't think it belong on a pony car.

I've seen several new Mustangs with the glass roof and would love to do one in my car as long as it doesn't cause any issues at the local dragstrip (NHRA rulebook, anyone?). My next door neighbor owns a prominent sunroof and upholstery shop here in town and he has quoted me the friendly-neighbor discount of about $2K to install the glass roof in my 07GT. I'm waiting for him to install one in his 06 Mustang first, to get a much better look.
