So I'm comming back from lunch and enter the parking lot of my office and about 5 of my coworkers are in the parking lot. I decide to show off a bit and proceed to rev my car up and dump the clutch. Instead of burning the tires I burned the clutch a little........here's your sign. :bang:

Worst part about that is, most of them would have forgotten you burning the tires, now, nobody will forget about you burning the clutch and most likely will tell more people. Nobody will let you forget about it.

That stench sticks in your nostrils like.....a bad smell.
Mine isn't quite that bad, but the other day when driving on to the base, the gate guard gave me a Woo! Hoo! on my "awesome car" After he checked my ID...I stalled it as I got ready to pull away.

Really helps to have it in first gear. DOH!

burning clutch... now what causes it really? Its it revving with clutch in and car in gear, or car in neutral?

Yeah I did that about 3 times trying to learn to launch this car. Get a new clutch asap. The stock one is terrible.

No clutch to burn in an automatic... just the tires.

When you guys dump the clutch, don't you take you foot completely off?

Yeah but if the rpms are too high the clutch comes like halfway out and just spins on it's own.

whats fun about the KR is you just idle along in first and stomp on it, no clutch work needed!, best described as "explosive", I love the ol' top loader trans and decent clutch feel!
tough on tires though
