No fair! Here I have been reading posts and downloading spots and downloading updated spots and getting so excited to go to the movies to see the 'Cornfield' commercial on the big screen and watching that stupid show, 'The O.C.' for the teasers...and what? Nothing! Not in theaters, not on TV...nowhere! I even talked to theater managers and they have never heard of it.

Man, we get the short end of the stick up her in the Great White North! Even watching networks like NBC, ABC or CBS doesn't work because when the commercials come on they are replaced by stupid local spots like 'Edna's House of Basket Weaving Supplies out on Route 41.'

One would think since they shot 'Cornfield' in Canada that we would get some kind of preferential treatment, but noooOOOooo...I can understand not playing 'Anthem' since it's not our National Anthem being played, revved, exhausted...whatever, but no 'Cornfield?' Not even a teaser...Waaaaa!!

I've noticed that ford commercials here in Canada show all their new 05 products, except for the new mustang. Can't figure that one out!

 

If its any consolation, a nice classy-looking Ford flyer came with the paper last week. It features the 05 Mustang right up front where it belongs, second only to the Ford GT. But hopefully the TV ads will air in the next week or so, as we near the release date for the Stang.

 

Release date? When is or was the official release date for the Mustang?

 

From what I've read here, we're supposed to see them on dealer lots on the 16th of November.

 

Ive seen the "thinking" ad with the new stang on T.V. here.
haven't seen the cornfield one on t.v. but i downloaded it.
I don't think the anthem one is quite as good, but maybe that is cause i'm from the great white north.
can't wait to see my first 05 in person here in Nova Scotia

 

We were getting some of the ads before they aired in the U.S. The cornfield ad is the official release ad and will be aired nation wide after remembrance day. Besides, its fun telling people about the ad and Mcqueen being in it. When they do see it they'll love it. I too wasted some time on the OC, but luckily I had taped it, so only had to ffwd.

There was a Ford infomecial on last Saturday and they had the Mustang on it. You need to get a satellite system, then you get all the US stations "unmolested" by the local cable commercials. That always drove me crazy, especially during the Super Bowl. So I got satellite, now Im happy ....Now If I would only get my darn car !!! darn "material hold"

 

Hey now, Canada has its benefits. I was going to say you can watch some hockey games to pass the time, but we're all screwed on that one.

If its any consolation, you do get better beer in the People's Republic of Canada. Consuming some right now will help pass the time.
