Gary Boes, New Mustang Program Manager
This is getting off topic,
Product is king, nothing is more important than a product that appeals to the masses and is reliable and well built. Hopefully this new project manager realizes this and doesn't cut corners on our Mustang to increase its margins and ailenate the core enthusiats.

Going by that pic in Brad's post, he does not look trustworthy at all :notnice:
Like someone above mentioned, he looks like a bean counter and that is not a good sign.

I don't know this guy and I'm not judging his ability till I hear reliably or see him in action.
However I can verify that as PM for the stang - he has his hands full.
His position is similar in many ways to the conductor for a huge orchestra. Many things are under his control and some definitely aren't. There is no shortage of opportunities for him to guide direction -it's a great role (if you are the right person as previously pondered in this thread). The complexity of a new car design and all the pressures from numerous directions make program management a high pressure role. You must continually work with many other folks to lower cost, eliminate quality issues, and improve the design appeal to customers - oh yeah and do it yesterday.
Best of luck Gary Boes!
- We are all counting on you to work hard for us! And consider the previous comments mild if you screw it up buddy...
The legacy of your life is immediately before you.

MustangRicky, well said.
Hopefully this gentleman realizes the legacy that he leaves behind, with a car like this, he will have his name in the history books for any moves, be it positive or negative. Not too many other nameplates in Ford have that kind of pedigree.

2006 California Option
Well, he chose to pose by a mineral grey stang, so he can't be all bad.
As far as hitting the gym is concerned, he looks like a runner to me. I also agree with earlier posts about insignificant parts like the shifter that I'm going to personalize anyway.(a primary reason I and many of you love mustangs) I also agree with Mustang Dan (this time) that you don't know much about someone from a picture. I think I've taken one good picture in my life and I'm not a weasel. I will, however, not cut him slack when it comes to doing the best job he can at the helm of producing my favorite car! The '05 GT is right on target....lets keep the ball rolling.

Did I miss something? What exactly is his role on the Mustang now? I thought Thai-Tang was replaced by Paul Randle? What's Boes have to do with the Mustang now? Why is everyone ripping on this poor guy? Ford's PR people make those executives take pictures in those silly poses. I doubt they even say half the stuff that's in those quotes!
He designed the THUNDERBIRD???? And he still works at Ford?
I'm selling my Ford stock first thing Monday (yes I really have some... a little).
The guy who designed the THUNDERBIRD should have been fired a long time ago - that car is the biggest debacle since the EDSEL.
Well, you better get an '05 Stang, because with this idiot at the helm you probably won't be able to FIT in the first one he gets his hands on! If you ever tried to sit in a Thunderbird you know what I mean.
Oh this is very discouraging for Ford ... I cannot truly believe they are putting this guy in charge of the Mustang.
Well, it bodes well for the value of my '05 at least....

No one person really designs a vehicle. On every vehicle there are some systems that are excellent and there are some systems with accepted flaws. Who knows what role he actually filled? - Hopefully not the chief engineer, if he did then you are perhaps right.
Ford common stock? - I think that we are near the low and you'd be better waiting for a sell price 12 or more.
