I wonder what it says about him that he hasn't owned a Mustang since he "restored a '65 a couple of years ago". Let's see... He restored it a couple of years ago, but doesn't now own it now? Either he:
A. Did a crappy restore job and sold it out of shame for what he had done to the Majestic Pony.
B. Hates the Mustang and restored it just to turn a quick buck.
or
C. Never owned, restored or even drove a Mustang, and was embellishing his past to make it seem like he wasn't just a stuffed-shirt bean-counting corporate yes-man.
or
D. Does too have a girlfriend...she lives in Canada.

I like how he was in charge of noise and bump reductions or whatever they called it and yet there is a TSB on the front end popping. And how he is first in line for this mustang. "Get in the back of the line meathead, we have been here long before you!" is what he needs to be told. And I hate to judge by looks but restoring his 65 probably meant buying one done and washing it when he got home.
You really need a car guy in charge of the mustang line as well as all the other factors (enginering etc.) .This is where large corperations get into trouble ,look no further than the new dodge charger ...what a flop .It has nothing in likeness at all with its heritage and is a rewarmed chrysler 300.Theres what a bean counter can do for you . :notnice:
I suggest someone like the man that was responsible for the Mustang allocations for Canada ...total car guy ...mustanger all the way ...could see this as a big thing for the 05 and gave us great allocations for the GT up here .Put someone like that in charge with some vision and good things will happen.

No, bean counters keep the production costs down but not the selling price. Their job is maximize the profits. I'd much rather have a "car guy" than a bean counter any day.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I can't understand why they do not just simply make an additional package of extra options and freaken see how many people are willing to order and pay for the extras.
It has to equal more income per vehicle. Just look at the IUP interest.
I fail too see the reasoning of some people that make those calls to cut options. Its not like there is a higher price car in their lineup that sales would be hurt doing so. :bang:
