Unhappy

Did you have a severe case of G.H.I.N.S. (Gotta Have It Now Syndrome) when you bought your '05 Mustang? Did you pay over sticker? Be honest, now!

I'm just curious as to how many people are actually paying these markups as I bought my car at $1,750 under MSRP.

Feel free to elaborate as to why you paid this markup and if you think it was fair, or if you thought it was fair at the time but are now kicking yourself, or if you just have tons of cash and it doesn't matter.

Two little diddies to remember when purchasing a car: Frothing at the mouth can clean your wallet out! G.H.I.N.S. makes dealers grin!

None of your choices fit for me. I paid exactly sticker, and I have no problem with that, but I never pay over sticker for anything.......period.

It's a poll for only people who paid over sticker, so if you paid sticker or under sticker, then there's not a voting selection for you.

paid $300 over invoice no plan, ordered end of jan. delevered april 11

now dad is ordering as soon as order bank opens a '06 vert GT for same deal (I know not all will be as lucky to find a fair minded dealer)

sorry to say, if you pay over sticker your "pony wipped" or you just didn't try hard enough

the more people that pay over sticker the harder it will be for the next guy to get a fair deal, it's a vishious circle

Paid about $1,100 under MSRP = or $1,000 over invoice, whichever your preference in terminology. I prefer the "under MSRP" number b/c I was not fortunate enough to have an X plan.

As I said before, there isn't a selection for people who paid under sticker or at sticker as this is a poll oinly for those who paid a dealer markup or "market adjustment."

I sorta fit into your scenario but only because I had a trade-in. The actual price of the car was sticker or a little below but I'm sure they were only willing to go a little below because they were factoring in making up for the loss during the sell of my trade. At the time I purchased, that particular dealership was no longer selling GT's with the market adjustment but they also were generally unwilling to negotiate below sticker. When it was all said and done, I didn't put down much so I financed most of the T&L plus the 4 grand (or so) in negative equity.

obviously almost no one has paid above sticker, cause everyone has paid msrp or below ! The pole should be how many people got the car at or below sticker, no one wants to admit they paid more..btw, z plan here...

You should have MSRP and Under MSRP as options in the poll. MSRP here.

RPD OFF
PD DRLY

Well, I was trying to make a unique poll... there are plenty of threads out there about who paid X-plan and got deals. With all those markups out there, I figured I'd make a poll for the other end of the spectrum - those who paid over MSRP. Those who were actually paying these markups.

(scratches head) Being that this is the third time I've explained this, I don't see what's so tough to understand about this...
