Fuse box?

I recently bought a new radar dectector(My first one ever) and last night ordered the direct line for power instead of having to use my powerplug.

Anyways, my question is how and where do you connect this direct line for power? Is it the fuse box? If so wheres that(newb question). Or is there somewhere else I hook this up to?

Any insight would be great. Thanks

Problably a bunch of threads if you search. The fuse box is outboard of the passenger foot box. You'll see the access panel, but to get in and work, you'll need to remove the whole trim panel. It's easy. Get a "add a circuit" from the local parts store. There are a couple of unused fuse slots, but the "add a circuit" will let you jumper off a used one too. Hardest thing to do is to find a ground and then get the cover back on, but it's real easy.

My detector is mounted to the passenger side visor clip on a home made mount.

Here's a link with instructions for the hardwire install that I did for my V1 and its concealed display. Not hard at all, just take your time.
