Our club held a Fun/Test Day at the Tire Rack Test Track here in South Bend, In.
The fastest car was a 06 that was setup for the track (i.e. Roll Cage,Big Baer Brakes and 550 RWHP w/ Paxton SC). The next was a appx 2003GT with a hellva good driver. Than a 03 Cobra and me (07 GT/CS w/Saleen SC) going neck and neck with our times. Only about 10 cars showed (2 Shelby GT's, a Stage 2 Roush, and alot of nice stangs). We took as many runs as you wanted to. It was a great day!!!!!!

I know this is an old thread but...

What kind of events do they have at this facility? Looks like a good time and it's close to me.

Also, since it was a TireRack event, what tires performed the best?

 

Whoa I missed this when it was first posted...How did I not know about this? Was this Michiana Mustangs??

****, now I wish I was still in South Bend. Too bad I missed this. Keep us posted on the next one (spring time I'm sure). I'd still make the drive up to run around the track. I hear that they have a pretty cool setup out there at Tire Rack.

 

I missed this thread as well but I was at the Tire Rack on the 29th for an Autocross event with the Audi Car Club Chicago Chapter (ACCCC). ACCCC runs an autocross event there twice a year (Spring and late in September).

It is very cool for an autocross event. The Tire Rack test track is better than a parking lot coned track!

I like longer road-coarse track events better but at $30 to $35 a shot for a smaller autocross event, it's fun!
