Hey thank you! I just ordered the motorcraft pfs376 from amazon and went to the dealer for the o ring gasket! Wonder if it will restore any lost power...

Are you having frequent problems with it? I still never had this TSB done, because it almost never happens to me.

Well I drove cross country and when I would get off the hwy and stop then try to go it would fall on its face. It would just bog down but then come back. Since I am driving cross country again in a couple weeks im going to replace the pump.

yep thats the problem we had. Sad thing is thye replaced my pump and it still has that problem. I tried talking to them about it abd they stated that I already have the updated pump and that was that. If you take it easy while getting back on the gas pedal getting back on your don't even notice the problem exsists. I've tried shaking the car while refiling but it still happenes from time to time.

Oh man now im depressed lol. Ive been doing hours of research on these fuel pumps and spoke with several ford dealers. Turns out there were a few different part numbers for the pumps they were replacing. Did they put in the tsb fix pfs376 motorcraft in yours? If they just looked at their computer to find it they might have put in a pfs401 which in that case isnt the right one for the fix. Sorry to hear that btw.

So I installed the motorcraft 7r3z9h307c fuel pump yesterday and my car runs great. Old pump was all brown and discolored.
