Front bumper - thermoplastic?

I hung my front fascia up on some "invisible" parking blocks (**** long hood!) and when backing off I caught the outside edge and did some damage to the very lowest part, which made a bit of a bulge in the plastic. (Like 1-1/2" long by 1/4" lower than the rest of the part.) It's invisible unless you crouch right down and look at it, but I could make it "as new" if I could just push the little bump back up.

Can I heat it up and flatten it out with a gloved thumb or a screwdriver handle, or do these parts just catch fire/harden/get wrecked? Hehehe.

Thanks folks!

a heat gun will work. Start at a lower setting and work your way up, in other words, don't overheat it. That's how a body shop would fix it.

If you have a dented in bumper, the heat gun method works too

PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) folks can now repair these types of "dents." Call one...or just check with your local dealer.
