Everything looks better under artificial lighting, even more so with spot lighting as seen in the pictures. It makes everything look like it is more reflective. Place the same car in the full direct sunlight in the middle of the day, and it will look like any other metallic red painted Mustang.
Ever been to a car show indoors, and outdoors? Do you remember all the cars inside under artificial lighting looking better? yep.

Not to beat a dead horse... but, Since Ford stoped puting out pic of the car with these wheels I "kind of" got used to the 17 inchers.....
Those 18's really do make the car look a whole lot better....!

Oh, and those pics, even with the reflective lighting, really show how redfire really looks. A bit more burgundy. Of course, different lighting will make it look lighter/darker, but this is the true shade IMO.

Looks nice. Not my color, but it looks nice. LOVE the rims though
I say I want a different color (torch or yellow) but who knows I might go to a dealer and test drive a redfire stang and take it home! lol

Nice pics. I saw an '04 redfire GT at sunset the other evening, and that color looked very similar to these pics; very reflective and rich.

My friend has a 03 red fire cobra. It looks totally different at night than during the day. Same way my 00 bright atlantic blue gt did. The metallic really showed up in the daytime and at night the color changed to a really rich blue or in his case maroon.

There's a good article in C&D about polarized lenses and how they help pictures of cars look incredible.

Only useful for strong directional light sources like the sun. Would not have been used in this photo.
As to color balance - look at the overhead lighting. Lights are white (at least on my monitor), so color accuracy should be pretty good. Whoever took the shots either did white balancing in-camera (digital - likely, due to the poor resolution) or later in Photoshop (with film or digital).

The color is definately darker indoors than out. Here's some pics from the 40th. Much brighter in the sun. Also...there's a lot of metal flake in the paint too. Very nice color. I'm torn between redfire/'black' interior or titanium/red interior.
