Found base of a Rattle Please READ !!
Hey guys....so I've had this terrible rattle that i could not find for the life of me. I thought it was coming from the far right A-pillar. Well the other day i told my sister to drive while i sat in the passenger seat to see if i could mark the rattle in the A-pillar.....low and behold it wasn't even coming from that area. It was not to the left of me. So i i figured it had to be in the middle somewhere. Now i know its not the rattle from the TSB 6-4-1 because Im going to have that fixed when i take car in for the latest recall. TO get to the point....the rattle is coming from the above map lights and head unit above the rear view mirror. That plastic box that has the map lights in it. For some reason it rattles when you go over bumps and if you lightly tap it it makes the sound I've been looking for for months. Now the real dilemma is how to fix it. I notice that when i push on that area towards the roof it stops...MY question is has anyone figured this out before me and has been able to fix it.??
Any help would be great !

Pull the center lamp assembly down and adjust the clips a little with a pliers, that should make it fit more securely and not rattle. If you want to you can put a few pieces of foam tape in there around the clip holes in the body, that will help too. Quick and easy fix, should take maybe 15 minutes at most.

Not to change topics or hijack the thread. However i hit a big as bump in the road yesterday and now seems to have a rattle/vibration sound coming from the driver side any idea on what it may be. Almost sounds likes it the headlight switch but it's kind of hard to listen for it and drive at the same time.
