Ford's Media Site has info on Tires/Wheels for 06
Ford Media Mustang Article
Ok, not only has Ford given us a whimpy tire size but now they put BFG Touring TA's on the car instead of a performance tire. :bang: :bang:
The bean counters at Ford must really have taken control. Come on Ford, why put wuss tires on such a cool car as the Mustang GT??? :nono:
I would gladly pay extra for a set of 255/45/18 performance tires on the 18 inch wheels, at least make it an option!!! :bang: :bang: :bang:

No different that sending out brochures for the 05 showing GFORCE T/A KDW-NT tires and not even making them an option. We all got stuck with Pirelli's even though in the brochure you had the option, which is what I ordered for the KDW's, and I still got Pirelli's.

See that's false advertising in my book but Ford has themselves covered by putting in fine print that the specs and options can change without notice. While I admit the Pirelli's were a step down from the GFORCE T/A KDW-NT tires, I would rather have the Pirelli's over the BFG Touring Ta tires. Looks like I'm going to have to get the 18's and just swap out tires at the dealer before I take delivery.

I think it's perfect, I can shred the heck out of these tires for about 10K miles and not feel bad about tearing up good tires

You could look at it that way.

64E Wheels, 18 inch Polished Aluminum (Incl. P255/45ZR18 tire)
The date on the pricing guide is June 16th, 2005.
I'll search around and see if this document is ALREADY old and outdated.
Never know....
