Ford's 2% advertising fee
If I read the whole thing right, the dealer cannot charge you anything that does not add value to the car.
So fees and junk are consided cost of doing business and cannot be charged to the customer.
Undercoatings, extended warranties, and such do add value to the actual vehicle, so those can be charged.

My deal was $500 over invoice before AQHA rebate but when we went through the bill of sale (for the third time to finally get back to the agreed upon price) they had added $100 for documents and $260 for advertising and then didn't deduct the $500 AQHA rebate as agreed. I was torqued but it was late -well past closing time by then and we had another event that night so I caved. Disappointing but I DID GET MY CAR!!!
My understanding is that X-Plan is free from dealer add on
fee's. The advertising thing on the DORA is directly from
Ford, along with delivery, and gas!
Personally for $650 I would have rather picked it up myself,
sure it's like a 16 hour drive, but I still think I could have flown
up and drove back cheaper!
Just a note: If Ford builds 150,000 Mustangs this year, it is
costing buyers $97.5 million dollars to have them delivered.
And that's just mustangs!

I agree - Then it looks like if you push it, you may not have to pay. I checked and I have the $240 added to my cost too. Ordered Feb. 28th.
Now, do I go in and make a scene or fold and pay it? Is it worth $240? Hmmm....

Sounds like I need to fight it.

By that same rationale, would not destination and delivery be included as an item that does not add value? I know that cannot be waived and I personally don't want to quibble over $240 with an organization that currently has power over the delivery of my Mustang.
I have to pay the dealer a visit tomorrow anyway, so I will bring it up in a non-confrontational manner.
I will post the results.
I am a little surprised this topic has not generated more interest.
