Ford Wake Up !!
FPV (Ford Australia, aka Ford Performance Vehicule) is doing better.
What about this car : http://www.fpv.com.au/gt40/
With a 5.4L 4V V8, With Full Slotted brembo brake, 19" Wheel, and a 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic with sequential. etc....
So where is this engine and this trans ?

Those cars would sell. Even if they still had the same lame powertrain options for base models but had the option to deck them out they'd sell. Its a clean look. I like them

Geez! That FPV Super Pursuit would be nice!
http://www.fpv.com.au/cars/super-pursuit/overview.aspx
BTW....290Kw & 540 N/m = 389hp & 398 lb/ft
my 300hp 4.6 only puts out 223Kw & 434 N/m

I see four issues with bringing this here.
1) We're cheap.
2) One RWD in Minnesota is more than enough come Winter.
3) Australian cars haven't been hits here. (Capri, GTO)
4) It does nothing to spark my imagination.

I think it must be the CAFE regulations and more probably cost. The car in the first post would most likely be pushing $40K with all the goodies. Most people in that buying bracket would rather buy a huge SUV or a prestige/luxo car. I think it looks far better than the GTO, but if priced similarly I would imagine it would sell just about as well, and thats the problem.
