WOO HOO! They're here! They're here!!
They were ordered on Friday and arrived last night. Pretty quick order/delivery time.
I think I'm going to install them myself, but I've never done anything like this before.
They say its easy to install axle-backs, but is it easy enough a cave man can do it?
I appreciate any tips, suggestions, or issues I may encounter to help my first install go smoothly.

Here we go with the whole cave man thing!


Annnnywaaaay, the install was pretty easy, I did mine in my driveway in around about an hour. The thing that slowed me down was finding a deep well 15 or 16 mm socket (can't remember which) for the clamps. You'll also need an extension or 2 to make it easier and 13 mm I believe for the brackets, go with a shollow socket here or better yet a gear wrench. A rubber or dead blow hammer would be handy to get the mufflers to slide all the way on quicker and easier.

I think I pretty much have all the tools and sockets you mentioned so I think it should be a breeze.
By the way, which would be better for lifting the vehicle, ramps or jack stands?
I have a set of jack stands, but somehow I feel like its better to use ramps. Or does it really matter.

i used jack stands when i installed my axleback flowmasters. took about an hour with no problems. but getting the bolts off those clams can be alittle frustating without the right tools. thankfully one of my friends is a mechanic and hooked me up big time.

don't forget to loosen up mid pipe first,adjust ,tighten up axlebacks and finally midpipes

I'd say a good majority of people need to loosen the midpipe to properly align the pipes. My Stingers took several attempts to properly center the 4 inch tips, and to make sure both sides stuck out the same amount.

This would have made my install easier

I still had to loosen the mid-pipe on one side to align, after I increased the opening for the "bung" (which probably would not have been required, if I loosened the mid-pipe first)

A question for you guys with the GTA's. Do you have droning? My Bassani's are driving me crazy and I heard the GTA's don't have that problem. I'm interested in switching but scared that I may just be exchanging one problem for another.

There is NO drone with the GTA's. Just be aware they are not loud, just a step or two above stock,deeper though.
