I used the x-plan when I got my car but I was not informed about the ins and outs of the x-plan.
I wonder if mine was done right or if I got shafted.
My sticker was 30,280 and I think I got the car for 28,600, but I will have to verify the numbers when i get home from work.
Does that seem right to you guys?

IMO, it does sound a little higher than it should be. In a GT that is around $30,000, there is roughly $2,000 in markup. So hypothetically, your sale price should have been around $28,200-$28,300 range, give or take a $100 or so. If you have all your options, I can price it up to be sure. Won't be 100% accurate (price level changes and price from year to year changes a slight bit), but it will give a good hint.

Was that the price after sales tax was added back in? If not then you might want to go back to the dealer. All plan prices are written at the bottom of the Invoice paperwork that comes directly from Ford. They just copy it right off of the paperwork. My sticker was 27,5xx and my x plan knocked off about 2200. there is also a formula you can use to figure it posted on here just a few days ago. Search for it.

I never saw the invoice because at that time I didn't know they had to show it to me for the x-plan so I never asked.

I have the numbers wrong anyways.
The sticker was 30,830 and the sales price was 28,700, but they charged me a $329 for a sellers proccessing fee for consumer services.
Isn't that supposed to be capped at $75?

Well at any rate I got a decent deal.

OK so X plan equals out to be about 200 over dealer invoice roughly.

Document Fees
  • Dealers will be permitted to assess up to $75 in documentary fees on each delivery to an eligible purchaser under the terms of the plan, unless otherwise provided by state or local laws or regulation. Each dealer is responsible for complying with applicable laws or regulations.
  • Unless otherwise provided by state or local laws or regulation: In states where dealers are not permitted to charge as much as $75 for doc fees, dealers would be capped at the lesser amount as provided by the state. In states that permitted more than $75, dealers would be permitted to charge the Plan customer $75. In states that permitted more than $75 and also required that all customers be charged the same amount, dealers may charge the Plan customer $75 and indicate any additional fees have been paid by Ford Motor Company as part of the AXZD-Plan Program dealer reimbursement on the buyer's order.

X-Plan = (0.996 * Invoice) + $75
My GT ended up being just a hair under invoice.

Edmunds/MSN/Autosite/Internet invoice prices do NOT include advertisement/marketing fees. The dealer uses an invoice price that is the same as the Fordvehicles.com invoice price. I finally figured this out after arguing with 3 different dealerships.

I just speced an 07 like mine out at Fordvehicles.com and the invoice shows $28,730 and I paid $28,700 and $27,700 with the Ford rebate.
So it looks like it was spot on.
