old, but still a favorite...think that and the father/son parkinglot burnout was a couple of the greatest car commercials ever made

 

The s197 Mustang commercials were some of the best ever. Steve McQueen's, The dreaming one, The Germany one, The father/son parking lot, the Police Chase, and the Germany commercials I can watch again and again.

Father/son parking lot commercial? I haven't run into that one on YouTube yet. The anthem commercial is my favorite to date though. That and the Kelly Clarkson "Go" commercial with the GT500's.

Nah, the guy was sitting in his garage and just revving his engine and it either turned into the national anthem, or it started as it.

And the narrator goes "V8 horsepower... music to the ears" or something along those lines.

Not sitting in a garage. Out on the prairie, in front of a drive in movie screen, revving out the National Anthem. The slogan: "The 2005 Ford Mustang. The Legend Lives."

 

Nah, it's not that one. Wish I could find the thing. It was a guy sitting in the mustang in his garage and just revving the engine with the hood up.
