Ford Mustang GTR

Anyone ever heard anything more about the Ford Mustang GTR's? Ford said that you could make it out of parts that they sold. Ive never seen but the concept one, has anyone done anything like it? And does anyone have any idea how much it would have cost?

All I know is that the 5.0L Cammer motor itself is like $15k or more. And the rims are pretty pricey too.

It was made by Saleen and Ford as a show car. If you look carefully you can see where the lower bumper for the Shelby and the Saleen PJ came from. The rear lights came from the 2003 show car, a show car that had nothing to do with the real car while the true S197 was all but done. It was just to throw around styling ideas and tinkering with the Boy Racer platform(that's pretty much what it is with a body kit).

I have heard continously that Ford will release a GT-R body kit, but I have not seen anything released. I would love to see that front bumper and the headlights though..

It is similar, but not the same. Just take a look at the bottom grille and airflow sections, as well as the brake ducts.
