Karpo,
Do those numbers mean most of the GT's built will be manuals?
Not looking good for the IUP's

I believe what you are seeing is the option code C09, which is the order code for the actual priced DORA. This is what tell Ford's system to print a priced DORA the next morning. As for the priority, it should read PRIORITY: and then your number.
Thanks Paul.... I just called my salesmanager a minute ago and he said they have a DORA and priority order #1. I think from reading some earlier replies, that this #1 he told me is B.S. I feel if it was a priority #1, then I should have a build date by now since I ordered on Nov. 1st. I don't believe based on this time frame that I am a priority #1 order.....do you? Oh well.....not much I can do except wait and hope.....

Thumbs up

Hey Mad Mac:

With your build date of Dec-6, do you expect delivery before end of year?
My build date is Dec-13 but the plant shuts down on Dec-20.
I'm trying to figure out if I can expect the car before end of year. What do you know/think about Ford's delivery system? I know it usually takes 2 weeks from build date to delivery but I'm not sure if it's just the assembly plant that shuts down on Dec-20 or the whole company, including shipping...
Any info would be appreciated

Welp, just to give some hope out there, I just got an e-mail from my dealer today. I had asked him for a copy of the DORA just so I could verify that the order was squared away before it started production (I had called the Ford customer service number last week on Friday, they said production to start on the 29th of Nov) and lo and behold, my car just got bucked and started production TODAY according to my dealer.

I also didn't go light on the options, so that isn't a player. Torch Red with all options save no upgraded rims (go Bullitts) and a manual tranny instead of ATX. So my new ride has all of the delay players (manual, IUP, spoiler) and still got bucked earlier than the Ford customer peoples guessed. Original order put in Oct 15, serialized sometime on or before Oct 22.

The plant shut downs won't effect shipping if it is produced prior. Once it is released to the shipping side your good. Chances are you'll see it prior to New Years.

If its shipped prior. Which means it has to be done by Thursday probably, otherwise theres noone in the plant to ship the things out.

Nick...

Not sure on shipping. Paul and Grant might have the right idea. I called the Ford Customer Service Number and got the build week, but there was no ship or delivery date in the computer.

I am hoping for a New Years delivery :drive:

John

EDIT: Happy Thanksgiving to all!

WindveilBlue, I'm in the same position as you are - build week of 12/13. I really hope production starts on the Monday of that week and not any later, otherwise the chances of it getting put on to a carrier by the end of that week are slim.

I understand it to be the lower the priority number, the higher the priority. ie, 1 is better than 10; 10 is better than 20. My dealer said 10 was the highest he can enter for a retail order, but that is higher than inventory orders.
10 is the best priority a dealer can issue. 1-9 are reserved for factory use, very rarely see these used. [/b][/quote]
seems like all of us are priority 10... which in essance means nothing... right?
If we are all priority 10 the it is like we are all standing side by side in the front of the line, but there is still only one door in. I don't get it, does the priority level really make any difference?

It's my understanding that the priority is dealer specific not nationwide. You are first in line at your dealer and if they have allocation then your order will be pulled next. Hope that helps.
