It just makes me think of the ricers and their "Powered by Honda" banners across the top of their windshields.

I suppose to each their own.
Its no different than Lamborghini or Ferrari written on the valve covers of each of those cars.

So they have "Powered by Lamborghini" and "Powered by Ferrari" on the valve covers?

I guess nobody except me thinks it's kind of dorky for a GT to have "Powered by Ford" on the valve cover. Whatever. Like I said, "To each their own".

No they don't but they DO have "Lamborghini" and "Ferrari" on the valve covers. What makes these cars any different from critizem.

The whole "Powered By Ford" thing goes back to the racing days, when the original Mark I GT40 was powered by a Ford engine, and that engine was a Lola GT body. That is where it came from. You have to remember, the GT is essentially a re-issue of the GT40, hence why they did that on the valve covers.

Alright, I got it now. I'd never seen it on a GT40 (because I'd never seen a GT40). I'd only seen it on the ricer civics... It always looked kind of stupid. Oh, you've got a honda civic, and you mean it's powered by honda. Are you sure it's not powered my toyota?

Not that I'll ever own a Ford GT, but those valve covers would be the first thing to go. That's only my personal opinion. If you all like it, go for it.

Rock on...
