I was just on the Ford Warrantys Web Page and saw the various plans available.

All have various years and milelage options but they also include more components for more $$$$.

Anyone have any opinions as to which plan is the most cost effective? I plan on keeping the car a LONG TIME and drive approximately 10,000 - 12,000 miles a year.

What do you guys think?

I would ck with ISELLFORD. I would Definitetly go with a FORD Plan and not an Aftermarket Company. BTMO from 20+ Years with FORD.

Thanks Kevin. I already sent Ed, my dealer, an email directly. I just thought I would check the collective wisdom of the forum members.

By the way sorry I haven't thanked you sooner. The emblems are perfect, I can't wait to put them on my pony which is scheduled to be built 11/11/05.

The posters are hanging in my sons' room and the catalogues are hermetically sealed in plastis for when my boys sell my car on Barrett/Jackson 40 years from now!!!!

Thanks again.

Hey Neil, I work at a dealership, and also have a GT on order, and figured I's help. I would HIGHLY recommend going with the Premium Care Plan, which is basically a bumper to bumper plan. As for mileage and time, since you plan on keeping the car for a long time, I'd go with the longest time plan, 7 years. That is the length I'm getitng. Now, for mileage, I won't be driving my car any more than 7,000 miles per year, so for me the 48,000 mile plan works. You may want to get prices on the 75,000 mile plan and the 100,000 mile. The only problem with going 7/100,000, is that the price gets a little expensive, since that is when cars have a tendency to have issues come up. Since your getting the factory plan, you can't really go wrong at all. Good luck on your decision.

I tried to get a price on the 5 year 100,000 mile premium care plan, but it won't accept my VIN or mileage.

I guess my VIN isn't valid until my car is actually delivered...

Glad to hear it. Makes me feel good that your having 0 problems, and about how my car should run, once I get her in a few months. Still C/U, but that's OK. I'm just waiting my turn.
