I agree, BUT I don't think it is going to happen. My reasoning is that most car buyers I know are impulse buyers. They have an old car that is suddenly getting unreliable or they just get that new car "bug". They want a new car right now. Ford and their dealers want plenty of inventory to sell to these buyers so they don't purchase from another dealer or even another manufacturer if they can't find a car they like in stock.

They can talk about allocations and parts shortages all they want, but I think Ford and their dealers feel that hard-core enthusiasts are willing to wait for what they want if we choose to special order and that they lose few, if any, sales over it. So they give stock orders priority.

This is JMHO. I would be interested in what Karpro and the other dealership guys on the forum think about this.
