Fluid on the floor

After I backed my 06 GT out of the garage today, I noticed a big puddle on the floor in line with where the engine/transmission are when I park it there. It's not just a few drips, but at least a cup of whatever this stuff is. It's as thick as syrup, has a somewhat "sweet" smell and is clear/gold in color.

Short of someone opening a bottle of Log Cabin under my car, any idea what this stuff is? It's way too thick for oil (although the same color).

New age coolant, sounds like a heater hose clamp?

Check your radiator overflow cap. There have been several people who have experienced leaky caps. For some reason they all of a sudden decide to belch out coolant onto the ground. Sweet smelling clear fluid sounds like coolant to me. It's probably thick like syrup because the water portion of it evaporated away.

Oh man you totally reminded me of some pics I took over the summer. Exactly what you described, except clear tasteless fluid ( I thought a slow water drain??) no fluid level problems...I was scared to take it to Ford dealer as they will likely f-it up.
It looks like this:

The overflow cap looks fine and there's no evidence of leakage around it. However, I did just notice this sticky/goopy stuff on a small lip at the bottom of the firewall. I'll crawl under the car tomorrow morning.

Could it be a heater hose clamp?

Probably the drain for the evap on the AC system if you live in a very humid area, or maybe some trapped water somewhere.
