Rented two 05 mustang... have noticed when getting into the driver side every now and then i hear a clicking noise from the floorboard, sounds like a "boing" from the sheet metal poping in and out. Has anyone else had this noise... Thanks

 

My car has that.... if I put pressure on the floor a bit back from the accellerator pedal, I get that sort of "popping" sound from the sheetmetal moving. It's not a huge issue, but it is annoying. I haven't had it checked by the dealer yet.

I get the same when climbing out of the car and pushing on that floor panel ... its just the panel poping ... not a structural failure about to happen ... Ford should have put a ridge in the panel to stiffen it.

 

Mine has it as well.
